Zurich- and Munich-based valuemize has closed an undisclosed seven-figure Pre-Seed round for its product-cost management software. The funding announcement names xdeck, Heartfelt, OMA Business Angels, Superangels, Prequel Ventures and PRXS Technology and Investment among the backers, alongside industrial operators and former executives from BCG, Celonis and McKinsey. Buildery.vc and angel investor Marcell Vollmer are also reported as participants.
Moving cost decisions upstream
valuemize is aimed at industrial manufacturers that still assemble product-cost calculations across ERP exports, PLM records and spreadsheets. Its platform connects those existing sources, enriches them with external market data and gives engineering, procurement, controlling and finance teams one place to model bills of materials, compare design scenarios and track target, planned and actual costs from development into production.
The commercial mechanism is shared cost intelligence rather than another isolated calculation tool. A change in a component, material price, exchange rate or design can be reflected across the same underlying model, allowing teams to see the margin impact before a product reaches series production. valuemize says its software can reduce non-value-adding work by more than 50% and identify product-cost savings of up to 20%. Those are company-reported benefits, but they define the outcomes customers will have to validate during deployment.
The company offers a proof-of-value phase without IT integration before a broader implementation. That lowers the initial commitment for manufacturers with complex systems, while creating a clear test: the platform must reproduce a customer's cost logic accurately enough to replace spreadsheet reconciliation. The financing announcement says several industrial companies and Fortune 500 groups already use the software, but does not name them or provide audited deployment metrics.
Enterprise integration is the scaling test
valuemize was founded in 2024 by Hannes Gruber, Dominik Finkbeiner and Michael Domanegg. The company describes a team combining product-cost engineering experience at ABB and Accelleron, software leadership at SAP and industrial digital-product work. Its current product adds AI-assisted data import and queries over bill-of-materials and margin data, while keeping the calculations grounded in a customer's own records.
That enterprise context is also the execution constraint. Product structures, allocation rules and source systems differ between manufacturers, so valuemize must make integrations and modelling reusable without flattening the details that determine whether a calculation is trusted. Its open API and connections to existing systems can shorten deployment, but the financing will matter most if early projects become repeatable rollouts across product lines and sites rather than bespoke consulting engagements.
