€100k · Other round · Fintech · Gijón, Spain
Gijón-based wealthtech Vumi has secured a €100k investment from Sociedad Regional de Promoción del Principado de Asturias (SRP), channelled through the Fondo Asturias Startup – Fase II. The official investor announcement says the capital will accelerate customer acquisition in Spain and reinforce the team supporting a growing client base.
This is SRP’s second €100k commitment to Vumi. Its first backing, in 2024, helped the company finish the platform and begin commercialisation. The new investment therefore funds a different step: converting a working product into a broader sales and support operation rather than financing the original build.
Turning fragmented wealth data into one operating record
Vumi serves family offices, family-owned holdings, corporations and private-banking teams whose assets are split across custodians, legal entities and asset classes. Its platform brings investment portfolios, cash, property and private assets into one model, then maps ownership through holding companies and other structures. The company’s product material says it operates its own investment-account aggregation while using PSD2 connectivity for cash accounts, with positions and valuations synchronised daily.
The commercial mechanism is more specific than producing another dashboard. These customers repeatedly reconstruct the same portfolio from bank portals, spreadsheets and adviser records; Vumi is selling a maintained data layer that can make reporting and ownership analysis repeatable. That makes connection quality, reconciliation and traceability part of the product, not back-office work. Every additional custodian and asset type expands coverage, but it also creates integration and support obligations that must scale with the customer base.
SRP says Vumi now consolidates more than €1bn of wealth on its platform. Vumi’s current FAQ says it connects more than 225 financial institutions and supports over 20,000 investment accounts. Those figures are company and investor claims, but they show why the new capital is aimed at distribution and service capacity: the product has moved beyond initial deployment, and the next constraint is bringing more complex customer structures onto the same operating model.
A repeat investor backs the commercial transition
Vumi plans to hire in business development, sales, customer service and account management, taking the team to 11 people in 2026 and 16 in 2027, according to El Referente. That hiring mix matters: it indicates the company is prioritising customer conversion and implementation around an existing core platform, while keeping its immediate expansion focus on Spain.
The execution test is whether Vumi can add customers without recreating the manual work it promises to remove. Direct integrations and ownership modelling can make the software harder to replace once it becomes the trusted record, but only if new accounts are onboarded, reconciled and supported consistently. The second SRP investment gives Vumi a measured commercialisation budget; progress should show up in repeatable implementations and a support model that does not grow linearly with every new portfolio.
