€2m · Other round · Energy · Bremen, Germany
Bremen-based fleXality has raised €2m through a capital increase in which Contigo Energie Holding took a significant strategic stake. energate reports that the capital measure brought €2m of fresh money; the investor’s exact contribution, ownership percentage and the company’s valuation were not disclosed. Startbase says the funding will support development of fleXality’s fEnOMS optimisation platform, new applications and joint customer projects.
Connecting industrial controls to the electricity market
fleXality sells software and implementation support to energy-intensive industrial and logistics sites. Its website says fEnOMS combines site data with electricity prices, contracts, network charges and technical limits, then coordinates refrigeration, battery storage, on-site generation and other flexible loads. The operating idea is to shift consumption without compromising production or cooling: reduce peaks, use more on-site generation and move demand toward cheaper periods.
That technical control becomes more commercially useful when it is connected to procurement and trading. fleXality can identify when a facility has flexibility; Contigo supplies and procures energy; and Impuls Energy Trading handles short-term trading, direct marketing and the market administration around flexible assets. Bringing those functions together could reduce the coordination burden for an industrial customer and turn operational slack into both avoided energy costs and market revenue. Customers can still retain their existing suppliers and marketers, which keeps the software from depending on a forced bundle.
A battery project will test the integrated model
The partners say a first joint battery-storage project is in development as a proof point for linking plant control, procurement and market trading. They have not disclosed its size, launch date or expected economics. Those omissions matter: the partnership’s value will be demonstrated by whether the combined system can produce repeatable savings after equipment constraints, contracts and market rules are accounted for, not simply by connecting another asset.
fleXality was founded in 2022 and previously completed a roughly €1m capital increase around the turn of 2025, led by the Buhlmann Group and joined by other investors. The new €2m financing adds a strategic energy partner rather than only balance-sheet capital, giving the company a channel to test whether its control layer can be embedded in a wider industrial energy service.

The discussion examines how intermediaries and market complexity add costs between power producers and buyers, the same transaction layer that fleXality’s new partnership is trying to connect to industrial operations.
