Making the battery earn its place
For a business buying storage, the question is how it changes the electricity bill and what the site can do. Octave’s software coordinates solar use, demand peaks and charging. Our editorial focus is the customer economics: can those uses add up to a dependable return on the installation?
Three perspectives from the EUVC archive help frame that question:
Energy Insights from Energy CVCs — EnBW New Ventures, hosted on EUVC · July 2025. Why storage value depends on combining uses and integrating with the energy system.
How enspired reinforces the energy transition — EnBW New Ventures, hosted on EUVC · December 2025. A related business model showing how trading can turn flexibility into revenue.
Europe’s Climate Goals Require a Green Power Grid — Emily Nixon of noa, hosted on EUVC · April 2025. The infrastructure and permitting constraints surrounding electrification.
Taking the model across borders
Octave plans to grow local sales and operations teams alongside installation partners. For EUVC, the next question is how consistently that network can deliver attractive customer economics across different electricity markets.
