€106m · Debt refinancing · Marketing software · Hem, France
Positive, the software group formerly known as Sarbacane, has secured €106m in bank refinancing to support European growth and acquisitions. The financing brings together historic banking partners CIC, Caisse d’Épargne Hauts de France and Banque Populaire du Nord with new lenders Arkéa and Crédit Agricole. The group provides marketing tools for SMEs, spanning customer engagement, search visibility and social media.
This refinances debt initially put in place in 2022 and extends its maturity. The €106m facility should not be read as €106m of entirely new cash. Tech.eu lists the transaction under Sarbacane.
Financing the integration behind a software group
Positive’s acquisition strategy assembles tools used by the same broad customer base across different marketing tasks. It illustrates a wider route to building European software companies: combine established products, then improve distribution and customer value across the group. Refinancing can give management more time to execute that work while supporting further acquisitions.
For Positive, the operating challenge is to make those products more useful together without disrupting customers who bought them separately. Shared customer relationships can create opportunities to sell complementary tools, but integration consumes time and resources. The commercial strength of the strategy rests on recurring customer value and the cash the combined business generates to support its financing obligations.
